Description

A 1952 Piper L21 aircraft, decommissioned in 1977, was purchased in 1977 by the Italian Army Light Aviation (ALE) and completely rebuilt by the SSVV Gonalba workshop in Linate. It was re-registered as a civilian aircraft with registration I-ARMY. Since then, its sole owner is Giorgio Villani.
It has had approximately 2,200 airframe hours since its purchase in 1977. The Lycoming O-320 135 HP engine was reconditioned in 1991 by the David di Beschi workshop in Brescia, now with approximately 660 hours and 1,800 hours of service life.
Original aluminum propeller, standard instrumentation with Icom 8.33 VHF radio and Garmin GPS.
The aircraft has never had any accidents and is in good condition. It has always been hangared and maintained by Ghidotti for maintenance and CN and ARC renewals. The CN renewal is underway.
