Description

T300 5000Probably the best T300 around.

Video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGFMV2gaAxU

The Aircraft:
This is a T300 tail dragger, a very well cared for and maintained aircraft, excellent flyer. Always hangared and probably the best T300 on the register. G-MVWS was built in 1989 and was written off after a ding in the early mid 90's. The aircraft was bought for scrap by the eponymous microlight engineer Rod Humphreys who runs Volair (Rod is one of the UK's out and out Thruster experts, what he doesn't know about Thrusters isn't worth knowing!). Over the years, Rod used mostly brand new components and parts to re-build her and he put her back in the air in about 2010. She's done very light hours since then. I bought her from Rod about 3 years ago and she has lived in Volairs home hangar next to his workshop where Rod continued to maintain and care for her, I moved her to Popham a couple of months ago (though Rod still maintains her). It has the pod from a T600 with a flat back so it's cosy and out of the wind and looks fantastic. I have spent quality time in a C42, Sherwood Ranger, Thruster T600, Sky Ranger Ninja and I have had the odd flight in half a dozen others, without a doubt, this is the most enjoyable and fun machine to fly. As you can see in the pics, she can land anywhere, a very tough, very light machine.

The Engine:
It's fitted with a 503, less power than a 582 but more reliable. I've replaced this less than 25 hours ago with a reconditioned one so pretty much a brand new engine. It will pull two big guys in the air easily but long flights with weight stresses the engine so it's okay for two light people for long periods or two heavy people for short flights. I fly mostly alone or with my son who's light and then take heavier mates up for 15/20 mins here and there.

5,000 ready to fly away and I will happily give training to a buyer so you can fly it confidently.

Also open to a sharer who can fly regularly and share the costs - she s hangared at Popham.
