Description

One of Jean Stampe & Maurice Vertongen s finest.

Built in 1946 and restored in 2013, is this beautifully preserved, low-hour example of one of Europe s most respected vintage training and aerobatic biplanes. Designed in Belgium in the 1930s by Stampe & Vertongen, the SV-4 became a cornerstone of post-war pilot training in both France and Belgium. Today, it is widely admired for its elegant flying qualities, responsive controls, and timeless biplane character. F-AZUF represents an opportunity to acquire a genuine piece of aviation history that remains both practical to operate and immensely rewarding to fly. Whether for private enjoyment, classic aircraft events, or airshow display flying, the Stampe SV-4C offers a unique and authentic vintage flying experience.

The Stampe SV-4C is often praised by pilots as one of the most delightful classic aircraft to fly. Its harmonised controls and strong aerodynamic design make it ideal for training in traditional stick-and-rudder flying as well as graceful aerobatic manoeuvres. Compared with many aircraft of its era, the Stampe offers exceptional control authority and stability.

Aircraft like the SV-4C rarely become available on the market. F-AZUF would make a superb addition to any vintage aircraft collection, flying club, or airshow operation. It combines historic authenticity with practical usability and continues to draw admiration wherever it appears.

This aircraft represents not only a flying machine but a living piece of European aviation heritage.
