Description

The Piper Colt is a load of fun to fly, and while flying her she will teach you to become a better pilot.
She has been a very active trainer, and carries her marks from her the years where she transformed student into to pilots. The aircraft structure, engine and prop is sound, but she does not in anyway look like a collectors item. This is an aircraft that has been used.
The design is very basic - You will not find any non essential parts in this aircraft e.g there is only one door, no flaps Although DEDCE has been fitted with the optional RH fuel tank. Perhaps worth of noting is the nose gear - If you make a real bad landing the nose gear will probably make more damage to the rwy than to the gear. Designed as a trainer she is very sturdy, but not fast. Things develop slowly when flying a Colt. She is perfect for local low and slow flights, although travelling is possible - it just takes longer time ;-)

Airplane time state:
TTSN 8572h32 and that is also TTAF
Engine is a Lycoming O-235 with 2185h25 remaining. It was built in in March 2001 at 8351h00 Compression is 78/78/77/77/79
No corrosion detected.
She operates as an Annex aircraft

Avionics

Garmin 8,33 kHz also driving the VOR instrument
Mode S transponder

Interior

Red side panels, blue seats, panel mat black
5 / 10 will be a fair rating

Exterior

White fabric with red trim. Patched up as needed over the years. Fabric is OK but a recovering at a later point in life will be needed. Some of the metal panels have been repaired / exchanged.
overall I would rate her 5 / 10

Additional Features

Some spare parts will follow the aircraft, as well as the outdoor cover.
Towbar
Engine dehumidifier can be discussed as well
She has an STC for Mogas

She comes with a fresh ARC that is valid until 08 / 08 / 2023
I bought her 3 years ago but have realised my kind of flying is different from the flying the little Colt is offering. She is good for low and slow local flights, whereas I want to go high, fast and far.
