Super Scarab 145 17500This 145hp Warner Sarab 50A is fitted to an accident damaged 1939 Rearwin 8125 Cloudster serial number 803 registered G-EVLE.

The aircraft overturned at very low engine power due to brake hydraulic lock. Some damage to one wooden prop tip (see pictures).

The engine serial number 1043EA has TT 1510 hours and had extensive overhaul work 24 hours prior at 1486 hours. Log books from 1953. Some spares and tooling included

Airframe ended up on its back and was recovered and dismantled in a sympathetic manner and placed in dry storage. Damage to fin and cockpit tubing, stb outer wing strut fitting deformed, fabric scuffed and needs replacing on wings.

The engine is for sale, the airframe is free with the engine, no splits or part sales.

Cockpit instrumentation and seating all fitted and original, no radio or transponder included (but might be available by separate negotiation).

This was going to be one of my personal restoration projects but with three others in storage and exceeding years one has to be realistic on what's achievable.
