Description
The prototype took to the skies for the first time in July 1969. The next 8 aircraft had a Lycoming-AIO-360-B1B engine with an output of 149 kW (202 hp). The successor model, the Mudry CAP 20 L, was modified and had a lighter body. In January 1976, the Mudry CAP 20 L-180 model was equipped with a 134 kW (182 hp) AEIO-360 engine. The model with the designation Mudry CAP 20 LS-200 with a 149 kW (202 hp) AIO-360-B1B engine had a variable pitch propeller with a constant speed and a better ratio of engine power to total weight, which considerably improved the aerobatic characteristics. The roll rate was 130 /s.
