96,000Unexpectedly for sale, this is a rare opportunity to buy an exceptionally well spec d RV6A. I bought this earlier this year after a very lengthy search for the right aircraft, with the intention of doing some serious touring, but work and family commitments have combined to prohibit that! So it s wasted on me.
In superb condition, SA has only 550 hrs on its airframe and only 250hrs since top end overhaul on its engine. It benefits from having the O-360 which is low compression and therefore approved for UL91 or even E5 mogas.
The paint and interior is good (see photos), but the real star of the show is the panel. This would have been eye wateringly expensive to fit! It has a MGL PFD with two axis autopilot (very smooth), a secondary MGL for engine management, Dynon standby PFD with virtual VOR/ADF, Garmin nav/comm that sends VOR to MGL, Garmin GPS, Trig transponder, electronic circuit breakers, and probably some more ive forgotten!
It s fully lit for night flying and the permit is IFR (I undertook a very extensive five day annual/permit process with a certified engineer after purchase, there are no nasty surprises waiting here).
Performance is staggering, 140kt on 30litres/hr. Will go much faster or conversely you can fly at 120kt on Rotax amounts of fuel, your choice.
You simply cannot beat these aircraft as a touring machine.
