I am offering for sale opportunity to purchase a rare1982 Aerolight Eagle Microlight.

This Eagle has all the BMAA/CAA Section S requirements done.

It has been stored for much of its life in a warm, dry building, dismantled and in its bags, and is in remarkable condition.

It has a recently fitted low hour Simonini Mini 2 electric start engine (2 stroke 26hp) with a lithium starting battery, carbon fibre prop, rev counter and battery condition gauge.

A fabric Betts test has been done in the last few days in numerous places and the results exceed accepted requirements.

These Eagles are easy to fly, have a very short take-off, slow landing speed, and are stall resistant due to the canard wing. The flying specifications are as follows:

Wing span: 35 feet
Wing area:180 sq ft
Take off distance approx: 125 ft
Take off / landing speed : 18 mph
Cruise speed: approx 35 /40 mph
Glide angle (power off): 7 : 1
Weight without fuel: 78kg

With the sale of this Eagle I am including a second complete Eagle in need ofi restoration or for spares.
Several of the Section S modifications have been done to this additional Eagle.

I am also including the original Fuji Robin EC25 engine, which has very low hours and is in perfect running condition, see photo.

Reason for sale - I am now 80 and coming to the end of my flying days, and more importantly I have lost the use of the building where I used to house it.

I have been involved with Eagle microlights since the mid1980s and have collected numerous Eagle spares which I am happy to part with.

Eagle microlites can be assembled and or dismantled in about one hour and will fit in and on the roof of an estate car but leaving them assembled is preferable.

I would like this Eagle to be bought by a person who will appreciate what amazing aircraft these were in the days when numerous amounts were flying.

I'm looking for an offer based on 1800 that will include the second Eagle, the Robin engine, loads of spares to numerous to list, sufficient to make at least one further Eagle and my support if required.
