Description

A rare opportunity to acquire G-ARXG, a classic Piper PA-24-250 Comanche: one of the most capable and efficient high-performance piston singles of its era, and still a very credible touring aircraft today.
The Comanche 250 has long been regarded as one of Piper s best designs. With its all-metal construction, laminar-flow wing, retractable undercarriage, constant-speed propeller and 250 hp Lycoming O-540, it offers a superb blend of speed, range, comfort and economy. It is a genuinely fast four-seat touring aircraft, capable of covering serious distance at sensible fuel burn the sort of aircraft that still makes excellent sense for UK and European touring.
AOPA described the Comanche 250 as offering a lot of bang for the buck , with strong cruise performance, good range, comfortable cabin, excellent control feel and a commendable fuel burn for a 250 hp aircraft. The type is well known for delivering around 155 160 kt cruise performance while remaining relatively economical compared with many other high-performance retractable singles.
G-ARXG is currently in regular use and has approximately:
Total Time: circa 3,500 hours
Engine Time: circa 1,000 hours
Times are approximate and will increase slightly as the aircraft remains in current use.
The aircraft will be sold with a fresh annual inspection and maintained under Part-ML. As part of the current inspection cycle, the aircraft will also benefit from an overhauled propeller and overhauled magnetos, giving the next owner a strong starting point.
Pre-purchase inspections are welcome by arrangement during the annual process, allowing any serious purchaser to inspect the aircraft while it is opened up.
A well-known UK Comanche 250 with current use, fresh annual, overhauled propeller and magnetos, and the performance that makes the PA-24 such a respected aircraft: fast, capable, efficient and ideal for proper touring.

Interior

The interior is in very good condition and has recently been reupholstered in brown leather. It presents extremely well and gives the aircraft a smart, comfortable and classic touring feel.

Exterior

The paintwork is in good condition and presents well, with plenty of service life remaining.
