Description
The aircraft underwent a forced landing in July 2026 en route to EAA Oshkosh (~30 miles out from KOSH) in high grass due to electrical exhaustion. This listing is without 'sugar coating' to not waste potential buyer time, and can part out later if it remains unsold.
Damage & Return to Service
Landing was relatively gentle, but extensive composite damage occurred while pulling the plane from the field (see photos). Needs composite repair, gear repair, a new propeller, and electrical sorting. Currently on an Experimental Exhibition airworthiness certificate. Located at Chicago Bolingbrook International Airport (1C5); available for inspection. Complete logs available.
Factory & Support Disclaimer
Promecc has not provided analysis, documentation updates, or component installation clarifications in months since incident. Multiple unscheduled extensions of "summer vacations." Buyer should assume the factory may be unable to provide future parts, documentation, or technical support.

The aircraft featured an undocumented "backup battery" switch (outside standard Rotax installation instructions/ASTM scope) plus a physically separate "alternate battery":
Possible Switch Types with this engine: Either "either/or" (ECU/EFI run off battery, alternator disconnected; provides fault isolation) or "parallel" (battery feeds ECU/EFI while still receiving alternator charge).
The Failure: Garmin voltage data indicates the main battery was wired "either/or" while the alternate battery was wired "parallel" relative to the switch. CFI transition training in Italy, phone calls during assemble led us to believe it was a "parallel" config. Ground runs and two prior legs (up to 4 hours) permitted some charging via a physical alternate battery, but the switch configuration ultimately caused battery depletion.
Missing Safeguards: The switch lacks a protective red cover, panel placards, or POH guidance (factory guidance and transition training in Italy were contradictory/silent). Checklist and manuals said 'All switches on'. Also, panel's "generator warning" light failed to illuminate when the switch was active, contrary to suggested Rotax 915iS operator's manual described behavior.

Remedy: Anyone returning it to service should trace and document the interaction between the switch, alternators, main battery, and alternate battery, update the POH, and restore generator warning light functionality.

Additional Features
Fuel System Modification
Due to Promecc's limited high-altitude testing and the Rotax high-pressure EFI pumps' limited suction capability, low fuel pressure previously capped performance at 8k-9k ft density altitude. Facet Posi-Flo boost pumps were added to both wing lines upstream of the selector, raising the ceiling to 15k-16k ft DA (see plots). Relocating the main Rotax high-pressure EFI pump assembly from the upper firewall to the lower firewall is recommended for further high-altitude optimization.
