Description
Robin for Sale Well-Maintained Privately Owned Aircraft with Extensive Upgrades
Due to changes in our personal circumstances and flying requirements, we have made the difficult decision to offer our Robin for sale.
General Aircraft Information
I have been flying this Robin since 2016, and the aircraft has been in my personal ownership since 2024. Since new, the aircraft has always been privately owned and has been treated with great care and attention throughout its life.
The aircraft has always been hangared and has never been involved in an accident or suffered any damage to its wooden structure.
All applicable Airworthiness Directives (ADs) have been complied with, and the aircraft comes with a recently issued Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC).
Technical Condition and Upgrades
Over the past few years, numerous technical improvements and cosmetic upgrades have been carried out to keep the aircraft in good condition and improve both functionality and flying comfort.
Engine Monitoring
* Installation of a JPI EDM 730 digital engine monitoring system
* Precise monitoring of Cylinder Head Temperatures (CHT) and Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGT) for all cylinders, as well as engine RPM
* This allows accurate monitoring of all essential engine parameters. The engine has always been operated carefully, avoiding excessive temperatures and rapid temperature changes (shock cooling).
Additional Maintenance and Upgrades
* 2021: Installation of a new Gomolzig exhaust system
* Late 2024: Magnetos overhauled
* April 2025: New aircraft battery installed
* August 2025: Generator overhauled
* 2025: Extensive refurbishment and cosmetic upgrade of the entire instrument panel
* Installation of a Garmin G5
* Installation of an iPad Mini mount
* Electrical system refurbished, including the installation of a completely new intercom wiring harness
Engine and Propeller
Both the engine and propeller are operated on condition, having reached their calendar-based overhaul intervals.
Both are in very good condition, and prospective buyers are more than welcome to inspect them personally during a viewing.
Engine Specifications
* Engine: Lycoming O-235
* Power: 115 HP
* Engine Time: 1,915 hours
* Compression: All cylinders in the 70s out of 80
The engine starts reliably, runs smoothly, and offers excellent fuel efficiency.
Flight Performance and Fuel Consumption
The Robin is an economical touring aircraft, making it an excellent choice for both enjoyable day trips and longer cross-country flights.
* Cruise Speed: Approximately 107 knots TAS
* Fuel Consumption: Less than 20 litres per hour at cruising altitude
* Fuel Capacity: 110 litres
This provides an excellent combination of cruising speed, fuel efficiency, and range.
Whether you are planning a relaxed day trip or a longer cross-country journey, the Robin is a reliable and enjoyable aircraft to fly.
Overall Condition and Viewing
The Robin is in well-maintained technical and cosmetic condition.
Naturally, this is an aircraft with some years behind it, but it presents very well for its age and continues to perform reliably.
Over the past few years, considerable time, effort, and money have been invested in maintaining the aircraft and carrying out meaningful upgrades.
The aircraft is being sold solely due to changes in our personal circumstances and flying requirements, not because of any technical issues.
Viewings can be arranged at any time by prior appointment.
If you are genuinely interested or have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch.
We look forward to hearing from you.
