Description
Jabiru SPL-450 21000 onoFor sale Jabiru SPL-450 group A ( not a microlight )
I bought this aircraft a few months ago so that I could renew my lapsed PPL.
I recently gained a NPPL(A) on microlights but wanted a SSEA rating on to be able to fly other group A aircraft.
Unfortunately, due to a medical condition, I ve been told by an AME it will require over 2k of tests for initial for a LAPL medicine and and over 1k of tests every year to maintain it!
At my age it s just not worth the extra expense. Unfortunately, I m going to have to sell this attractive little well equipped aircraft.
It s hangared in large outbuilding at Truro Airfield - Cornwall. If your local, you can take over the hangar space, it costs 168 pm.
This aircraft had a lot of mods that improved the reliability of the Jabiru engine.
The aircraft has the superior Camit Cylinder heads the LAA approved separate belt driven alternator which improves the reliability and efficiency to the original flywheel generator.
Strengthened nose wheel and LAA approved larger tyre to improve grass strip operation.
The previous owner also informed me that it has the quick release wing mod.
The dual throttle has been modified to a panel fit instead of being between your legs.
I ve had just professionally weighed. The empty weight is 280kg so it s outside the microlight 268kg category. When it was in the microlight category it weighed 266kg.
Cruise is around 95 mph at around 12.5 lire s ph.
Airframe hours 663 hrs
Engine 668 hrs
