Description

The Reims Rocket Cessna 172 is sometimes called 'an C172 on steroids' or 'the affordable 182'.
A great aircraft for travel and site seeing due to its huge payload.

Airplane time state:
TTAF 3850
Continental six cylinder IO-360-HB (210 HP) Overhauled 2010 and 400 hours SMOH.
Propeller changed in 2022 to the new 3-blade MT propeller (MTV-12-D/188-59b) for lower noise and better ground clearance. Note: some pictures still show the McCaulley.

Avionics

Full IFR glass cockpit upgrade in 2022 comprising of two Garmin GI-275 instruments. One is configured as an AI/ADI and the other one as a HSI/CDI/MFD. They act also as a backup of each other.
On the Co-pilot side a uAvionix AV-30C EFIS is installed for extra redundancy. These instruments all have battery backups.
All digital engine instruments by EDM900.

The middle panel holds a KMA-24 audio panel, a Sigmatronics SPA-400 4-place intercom, a GTN-750 Xi GPS/Com1/Nav1, a GNC-255 Com2/Nav2, a KN-62A DME, a KR-87/KI-227 ADF and a Garrecht VT-2000 Mode S transponder

On the right panel a Kannad 406AF ELT and an uAvionix AV-30C EFIS.

Interior

Upgraded two-color (gray/blue) upholstery in 2010 and still looking as new. Instrument Panel replaced by modern glass panel in 2023.

Exterior

Bare metal respray in 2010 in modern colors white with blue stripes.

Additional Features

Included in the sale is a towbar and a brandnew cockpit canopy cover from Bruce's custom covers. Ideal when you need to park the aircraft outside during your travels.

This aircraft is under CAMO maintenance and has been hangared during it's entire life.
In the pictures the Gomolzig exhaust silencer (underneath the cowling) is visable but has been removed due to the STC for the MT-propeller. Without the Gomolzig the airplane looks nicer. The 3-blade MT is quiter then the McCaulley and therefore the added noise by removing the Gomolzig is compensated.
