Description

N150ZZ

Exceptionally equipped, maintained and beautiful SR22 G3

Runs beautifully; 171 TAS at FL 100 fuel burn just 11.8 GPH, CHT 300 +/- 14 degrees in the cruise, usually 320 - 340 in the climb, never greater than 356 even in 40 degree OAT, dropping to 300s within five minutes of cruise. If you know what matters when buying an aircraft, you ll love these numbers. At 2700 feet, 66% power, 145 IAS 155 TAS, 12.8 GPH 292 CHT - got a great little video - it doesn t get much better than this.

A genuinely outstanding tourer, we have taken ZZ all the way to the most northern airfield in Europe, Menham in Norway, and all the way south to Corfu and Greece in the south. One long trip was 48 hours flying in seven days - all without a single hitch.

Full QWERTY FMS keyboard means entering a flight plan takes less than two minutes to enter a bunch of waypoints and your destination. Airways are preloaded so you just choose your off point. Loading approaches takes less than 15 seconds, and it s all super intuitive and very well represented visually, so a logic check is done in moments. The Avidyne R9 is a fully dual resilient outstanding flight management system. Very simple to learn and yet highly effective. It couldn t be more different than twin 430s. There is also integrated traffic, lightning detection, TAWS (terrain awareness) and synthetic vision and of course DME.

Maintained at RGV in Gloucester since we bought ZZ six years ago, prior to that with Multiflight in Leeds. It s hard to over emphasise how important having a first rate maintenance team is on a Cirrus to maintain the real value in the aircraft, and RGV are without doubt the best.

Not only does ZZ have the R9, but also an upgraded DFC 100 digital autopilot. The DFC 100 has the brilliant STRAIGHT & LEVEL button and the full suite of AP features, and is super sharp rather than slow and laggy like the old STEC 55 analog we took out.

Other upgrades include the turbo propeller and Berringer brakes which give ZZ great stopping power. Also bespoke balanced injectors from GAMI means the CHT spread is negligible, even at over 100 degrees LOP and still super smooth. I ve spend 35 k just on upgrades in the last few years.

Always hangared in a heated hangar, with the oil changed every twenty hours or fewer for the 700 plus hours we have had her. Prior to our ownership ZZ was used as a private company executive aircraft so was professionally flown and maintained. The frequent flying ZZ has is perfect for longevity.

With an 1165 Lbs useful load, full fuel and three adults with luggage gets you well over a 1000 NM, and with four adults 750NM, both with an IFR reserve. The fact ZZ is normally aspirated means greater payload and much easier and cheaper maintenance. Also the engine, which is running beautifully, should make TBO and probably a lot more.

The TKS system is a great get out of jail card which really does work.

Obviously on the N reg, this makes life so much easier than other EASA regs, and the trust I have is only 450 a year.

All in all, ZZ really is a fabulous aircraft and the only reason I am selling is I needed a FIKI turbo to fly all through the winter.

Significant price reduction making ZZ the best value SR22 G3 on the market. Give me a call or Whatsapp with any questions and to come and have a look.
