Description

The Robin ATL (Avion Tr s L ger Very Light Aircraft) is a French two-seat light aircraft designed by Avions Pierre Robin in the 1980s to meet the demand for an economical and efficient trainer for flying clubs. It is a single-engine monoplane with fixed tricycle landing gear, a conventional control stick, and the distinctive V-tail configuration.

The fuselage is made of glass-fibre, combined with a wooden wing, while the V-tail is of conventional all-metal construction. Thanks to the large bubble canopy, the aircraft offers exceptional all-round visibility, making it very pleasant and confidence-inspiring to fly.

Only 132 Robin ATLs were produced, and just 10 aircraft were equipped with the more reliable and more powerful 70 hp Limbach engine, making this example particularly rare. With benign handling characteristics, moderate speeds, and very low fuel consumption, the Robin ATL is an excellent aircraft for training, hour building, leisure flying, and private ownership.
