Sherwood Kub 20000This is a Factory Built Sherwood Kub (note I work for the factory) and is to the highest spec of any Kubs built:
Hirth F23 engine.
Helix Prop.
X2 wing tanks giving around 40lts usable fuel plus small header.
Fast Wing Fold 5mins on your own.
Trigg Radio and Transponder.
Built in PilotAware with external aerials.
12volt panel socket and one behind seat.
Bungee Main Undercarriage.
Tundra style tyres (good for off field landing).
Steerable tailwheel.
Independent brakes for tight ground handling.
Flaps with up, stage 1, 2 & 3 (great for very short field landings).
Winter ASI, VSI, Alt.
MGL engine monitoring, giving X2 CHT, X2 EGT, Volts, outside air temp, Hobbs, flight timers and service reminder timer.
The aircraft has over 230hr on airframe, engine and prop and has been maintained at all service intervals, with no issues. Note the hours will continue to go up as I love this aircraft.
It is very forgiving in the air and on the ground and so not a tail wheel aircraft to be frightened off, as long as you know what you feet are for and keep your nose, in line with the nose of the aircraft and the end of the runway you will have no problems at all. It make a great first aircraft to own and it flies very well even in air that others are saying is rough. The STOL performance is great and you get a climb rate depending on load od around 800 to 1000ft/min and a cruise speed of 60mph (11ltr ish/hr) for economy or 75mph going places and if you want to burn fuel fast then just over 80mph at max continues RPM. For me I tend to consider 2hrs as a good distance (150miles) and refuel stretch my self out and have a break before going on. I am 194cm 6ft 4.5 and 95kg and can fly with full fuel and 5kg luggage in a bag behind the seat. This aircraft is great for a quick local flight or a mini adventure. Please note the price is negotiable but I am already selling it below market value, if you bought a new 3 axis SSDR you would be looking at over 40K for one with comparable performance and second-hand Sherwood Kubs with lower spec are at > 30K. Also note the Sherwood Kub is as far as I know the only Section S compliant designed SSDR and so has gone through all the stringent testing that the 2 seat microlights need to go through, so you have the confidence the aircraft is well designed and built.
